1. Introduction
Welcome to the private social network of the Department of Mathematics at the University of Pisa (hereinafter referred to as the “Platform”). By accessing or using the Platform, you agree to abide by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree, please refrain from using the Platform.

2. Purpose and Scope
The Platform is intended exclusively for former students and faculty members of the Department of Mathematics at the University of Pisa. It serves as a space for academic discussion, networking, and information sharing among alumni and former staff.

3. User Eligibility and Registration
3.1. Access to the Platform is restricted to individuals who were previously affiliated with the Department of Mathematics at the University of Pisa.
3.2. Users must provide accurate and up-to-date information during registration. Any misuse or misrepresentation may result in account suspension or termination.
3.3. Users are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their account credentials. Unauthorized use must be reported immediately to the administrators.

4. Acceptable Use
4.1. Users agree to engage respectfully and constructively in discussions and interactions.
4.2. Any form of harassment, discrimination, hate speech, or dissemination of unlawful content is strictly prohibited.
4.3. The Platform must not be used for commercial purposes, spam, or activities unrelated to academic and networking interests.

5.1. The Platform operates in compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Users have rights regarding access, rectification, and deletion of their personal data.
5.2. Personal data is collected and processed solely for the purposes of maintaining and improving the Platform. Data is not shared with third parties without explicit consent, except as required by law.
5.3. Users may request data access or deletion by contacting the Platform administrators.

6. Content Ownership and Intellectual Property
6.1. Users retain ownership of the content they create and share on the Platform.
6.2. By posting content, users grant the Platform a non-exclusive license to store, display, and distribute the content within the Platform’s intended purpose.
6.3. Users must respect copyright and intellectual property laws when sharing materials. Unauthorized distribution of copyrighted materials is prohibited.

7. Account Suspension and Termination
7.1. The administrators reserve the right to suspend or terminate user accounts in cases of repeated violations of these Terms.
7.2. Users who believe their account has been wrongfully suspended or terminated may appeal by contacting the administrators.

8. Disclaimer of Liability
8.1. The Platform is provided “as is” without any warranties of availability or reliability.
8.2. The University of Pisa is not responsible for any damages resulting from misuse or unauthorized access to the Platform.

9. Changes to the Terms
9.1. These Terms may be updated periodically to reflect operational or legal changes. Users will be notified of significant updates. Continued use of the Platform constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
